Want to create a real game? You're in the right place. Live online Scratch classes with an expert mentor in small groups take kids from idea to a working game in just 32 lessons.
Each module builds on the last. By the last lesson, your child ships a complete, original game they designed, coded and can share with anyone.
Explore the Scratch interface, place sprites and connect blocks to publish your very first project. Kids see their code come to life immediately.
Design original characters with costumes and expressions. Build walk cycles, jump animations and reactions. Kids choose their own theme and style.
Control movement, timing and reactions with code blocks. The character responds to keyboard input and kids realise they made that happen.
Add collisions, messages between sprites, sound effects and visual feedback. The game stops feeling like code and starts feeling like a real game.
Add score tracking, lives, levels and timers. Variables, loops and conditions become clear through building and improving their own game.
Apply everything to create an original game, animation or story. The course ends with a live class showcase and a Kid Lab certificate of completion.
Your child meets a mentor, tries a real Scratch project and gets a genuine feel for the class. No payment required. We then place them in the right group.
60-minute live online classes, once a week, with a maximum of 8 kids. The mentor knows every student by name. Every lesson is recorded, so no lesson is ever missed.
After the last lesson, your child presents their final game to the class and receives a Kid Lab Certificate of Completion, ready for the next course.
Most coding platforms offer self-paced videos your child watches alone. We offer something different: a live mentor who knows your child by name, real accountability and a finished game at the end of every module.
None whatsoever. Scratch is built for complete beginners aged 7–9, and so is our course. We start from the very first block. The free trial lets our mentor assess your child's level personally before placing them in the right group.
You book a 40-minute lesson online. No payment, no commitment required. Your child meets their mentor, works through a real Scratch activity, and gets a genuine feel for how our classes run. After the trial, we personally recommend the most suitable group. Most families enrol the same day.
A laptop or desktop computer with a stable internet connection is all you need. Scratch runs entirely in the browser, with nothing to download or install. A headset with a microphone is helpful but not required for the first lesson. If you're unsure whether your setup will work, just ask us before the trial and we'll check it together.
Life happens, and we have built the course around that. Every lesson is recorded and shared with your child so they can review it at their own pace. Each month we also host a group meetup where students can reconnect with their mentor and classmates, and take part in a drop-in session to discuss any questions or get help when needed. If your child misses two lessons within the same module, we arrange a dedicated one-to-one catch-up lesson with their mentor at no extra cost.
After completing all 32 lessons and presenting their final project, students receive a Kid Lab Certificate of Completion recognizing the skills and projects they've developed throughout the course. A proud moment for kids and parents alike.
